The system offers an extensive range of special features.

One example is the Automatic self-test. Telephones can be remotely tested via the ProfiTel software.  Telephones can be scheduled for automatic testing e.g. once a day or once a week. Detailed reports can be offered for telephones with errors or problems. Everything is transmitted via the Ethernet on copper cables or fibre optic cables. The system can be designed using a redundant Hirschmann HIPER-Ring for maximum safety.

Typical applications are road tunnels, highways, airports, railways, mines, industry etc.
